Come and stay in our lovely old country house! It dates back to 1866. It was once part of Lord Astor's estate at Cliveden and there are even rumours that it was lived in by a Royal Mistress! You can sleep in the converted Servants Quarters, the Mistress's Dressing Room or the Valet's bedroom. We currently have the Servants Quarters and Mistress's Dressing Room available. From January 2009 we will be offering the Valet's Room as well. The Servants Quarters is a self contained apartment at the top of the family home. It comprises two rooms joined with a half wall to separate a bedroom and lounge/diner. It has a well equipped kitchen and a separate bathroom with bath and shower over. During the week we attract business people working on local contracts and at weekends we welcome couples wanting a relaxing break in the country. Mistress's Dressing Room : This is a sweet room overlooking the garden with its own washbasin and adjoining toilet. It has a TV/DVD with a selection of films. You take breakfast in a small observatory at the front of the house where we lay out everything you need so you can eat when you want. You may use this room in the evening as well if you wish. If you come for the weekend or s short stay, there's loads to do nearby -golf, walking, riding, boating and cycling. It's very quiet, backing onto the fields of Cliveden Stud to one side and opposite Nashdom Abbey. Burnham Beeches is very close and the colours of the trees there in Autumn is breathtaking. Nearby Norden Farm Arts centre is great for fringe plays and Friday Comedy Night, Foreign Films and it's Art Gallery with constantly changing exhibits. The Theatre Royal at Windsor presents more traditional British farce and The Mill at Sonning offers a unique theatre and dining combination and shows murder mystery plays. You can sample the excellent gourmet cuisine of The Fat Duck, Cliveden, The Waterside or Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. For more everyday eating, there are lots of lovely Riverside and Village Pubs. We are near Eton College, Windsor, Ascot, Henley, Maidenhead, Cookham and Marlow and there are easy links to Heathrow, London and Oxford. Lincoln Lodge is an attractive 400 year old stone farm house offering open views across farmland set 1.3 miles from Castlethorpe village. The house offers 3 centrally heated, comfortable en-suite twin bedded rooms with T.V. tea and coffee tray, towels, desk area, easy chair, hairdryer, and ironing board/iron on request. 3 star ETB rated. Go over 3 cattle grids until you see Lincoln Lodge sign (old stone farmhouse with gravel parking area in front.) Directions from M1 Junction 14 Turn right signed Newport Pagnell, past Courtyard Hotel. At the double roundabout turn left, signed Newport Pagnell Town Centre. Turn right at next roundabout, signed Newport Pagnell. Go straight over the mini roundabout and at next mini roundabout turn left signed Milton Keynes North and Buckingham. Take the 5th turn on your right which is a mini roundabout taking you into Little Linford Lane. You go over the M1 bridge, past Welcome Lodge and Little Linford Lakes. At T-junction turn left, signed Haversham, bearing right past Greyhound Pub, up hill and then turn right signed Castlethorpe and Hanslope. 3/4 mile later turn left to Castlethorpe , past Lodge Farm Business Centre sign, and into Castlethorpe. Follow road round past Church, School and Carrington Pub 100 yards later, turn left at Green, into Station Road. Indicate right after 2nd set arrows on traffic calming scheme, and turn in over cattle grid before 3rd set arrows. Follow road over next 3 cattle grids to Lincoln Lodge.
