Your hosts, Lesley and Paul, welcome you into an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Our guest house is set over three floors and has five double bedrooms.
Two of the rooms have a view towards the lake and two have 4 poster beds. They are all well furnished and have en-suite shower facilities, towels, tissues, remote control TVs, well stocked refreshment trays, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and alarm clock.
Shower gel and shampoo are available upon request. Start your day with a hearty breakfast. Your own front door key allows you freedom to come and go as you please. We do not have family rooms, accept pets or cater for single sex groups, stag or hen parties.
A choice of five double en-suite bedrooms is available. Two rooms have four poster beds and two have lake views where you can relax, read a newspaper or just watch the world go by. All the guest rooms are centrally heated, have complimentary tea, coffee and Fair Trade hot chocolate, colour television, a hair dryer, shaving points, ironing facilities and en-suite shower rooms with WC.
Start your day with a hearty traditional or vegetarian breakfast freshly cooked to order and served in our breakfast room. Wherever possible we use local businesses for our breakfast items. Our bacon, especially dry cured for us and our hand-made sausage comes from Richardson's, our butcher in Bowness. Free range eggs are supplied from Bannerigg Farm on the Windermere to Kendal road.
Complement your choice of breakfast with an unlimited supply of coffee or tea with lashings of toast and marmalade or jam.

Hazeldene Guest House was built in 1856 as part of a Gentlemen's’ residence and for the past 100 years or so has been a guest house catering for all types of people wanting a holiday in the Lake District. We are situated on the fringe of Bowness. Shops, restaurants and pubs are all within a one minute stroll and the lake about 10 minutes away. Easy walking is right on the doorstep through local woods where you can see deer, squirrels and rabbits. If you fancy something a little more strenuous then there is Brantfell a mere 15 minutes from the front door. Other walks, local and further afield, as well as motoring routes can be provided, please ask for details. If its relaxation you are looking for then why not try a cruise on the lake. These operate all year round and timetables are available in reception so you can plan your day out. Cycling, fishing, horse riding and many, many other attractions are also available locally. We have drying facilities available for those inclement days.
