Jackie and Stuart Jones offer the modern traveller bed and breakfast in the warm and luxurious atmosphere of their home with three tastefully appointed and comfortable en-suite double bedrooms. The oldest house in private ownership in Ruthin, Sir John Trevor House is a charming Elizabethan town house of exceptional character and a fine example of a grade 2 listed building with hundreds of years of history but with all the amenities and facilities today's traveller expects. Sir John’s Rooms: Relax in history. This bedroom is oak cruck framed and one can see where boarders of Ruthin School have, for hundreds of years, carved their initials into the oak. The room features a four poster bed, is centrally heated and overlooks historic St. Peter's Square. The suite includes shower, toilet, washbasin, seating area, freeview television, shaver point, hairdrier, tea and coffee making, alarm clock radio, books and magazines and cold drinks cabinet. Ironing facilities are available upon request. Quentin's Room: Quentin's Room is light and sunny and looks out over the garden to the magnificent countryside and Clwydian Range of hills and mountains beyond, an unparalleled view from the heart of town. Part of the plasterwork has been removed to expose the original brickwork and wooden beams. It is centrally heated and has a relaxing atmosphere offering our guests a warm Welsh 'Croeso' (Welcome). The unique handmade furniture was especially commissioned for the room and, as one would expect, is totally in keeping and adds to the special ambience. There is a washbasin and shaver point in the bedroom. The adjacent en suite has a spacious shower incorporating a large window allowing in natural light, creating a feeling of freshness and well being. Included in the facilities is a hospitality tray, cool box for fresh milk, hairdryer, alarm/radio, and freeview television. Ironing facilities are available upon request. In the summer with the windows open, wake up to birdsong. The en-suite facilities include a large bathroom with shower, toilet, bath, washbasin, bidet, cold drinks cabinet and shaver point. Now it is a handsome panelled room in which guests may relax and pamper themselves. Byron's dining room is very informal, with pine furniture and looks out into the conservatory and garden beyond. Here guests may be interested in one of the many cookery books collected over the years whilst enjoying a freshly prepared individual breakfast. It is the only Welsh town to be named in the Daily Telegraph's top 50 towns in the UK and one of the most beautiful market towns in Wales.
