The Nurturing Place has three bedrooms available for guests.

All rooms have views of the downs, drink-making facilities and fluffy dressing gowns. There are no TVs in the rooms.
The garden is set in a quarter of an acre. It is well maintained with a large lawn, mature shrubs and flowering borders. Private parking area.
Meals are taken together in the dining room. Organic and local produce is used wherever possible. There is a large comfortable sitting room with wood-burning stove.
The Nurturing Place is perfect for B&B, a relaxing break or a retreat weekend. You can simply come for rest, relaxation and walking in the country or along the coastal paths. There is also the opportunity for meditation, aromatherapy and massage. Please see our Therapies page for further details. Enjoy a full English breakfast and lunch/dinner if required. All dietary needs can be catered for.

The Nurturing Place is in the heart of Thomas Hardy country, surrounded by thatched cottages, a medieval church and rolling green hills. The house is four miles from Dorchester and eight miles from Weymouth beach and harbour.
I trained as a nurse and health visitor in Oxford. I have 10 years experience in counselling and personal development. I have studied with the International Institute of Health and Holisitc studies and can offer Aromatherapy and Indian head massage. I have also trained with Psychology of Vision and Cruse Bereavement Care.
Dorset is well known for the Jurassic Coast, The Purbecks, Chesil beach, beautiful countryside and villages with thatched cottages, fresh fish, blue cheese, cream teas, apple cake, smuggling and of course the author Thomas Hardy.
