Alexander Bed & Breakfast, Cambridge, Cambridgshire

The Alexander Bed and Breakfast is run by Mr and Mrs Beesley-Schuster from their family home, a Victorian house located in a quiet residential area of central Cambridge. Their extremely central location, near the city centre and train and bus stations, makes it an ideal place to stay whether working, studying, or visiting the city and outlying attractions. Early booking is essential. Minimum two-night stay required.
We have two en-suite rooms, one twin room (two beds) and one double room (one large bed). Single occupancy of a room is occasionally possible, particularly for longer stays. Our en-suite rooms are light and centrally-heated. They each have a colour television, a radio/alarm, an iron, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities.
For guests who wish to stay for a week or longer we are happy to do their laundry at no extra cost. Use of home telephone possible.
On arrival, guests are provided with a key to the house, allowing them free access to the house at any hour.
St Barnabas Road is located in a quiet residential area of Cambridge within a few minutes walking distance of both the train and coach stations.
We are within easy walking distance of the Cambridge City Centre with its wonderful university buildings, churches, museums, and the River Cam with its punting trips!
We are also within walking distance of Anglia Polytechnic University, the modern Grafton Shopping Centre, and the Warner Brother Cinema Complex. A local swimming pool and fitness center is only five minutes away on foot.
There are many direct bus links to Addenbrookes Hospital and the outskirts of Cambridge which run from the nearby station.
We do offer parking for those who arrive by car. But the only sensible way to get around and about Cambridge is by bike or on foot. Bicycles can be rented locally from many shops for any length of time from a day to a few months!
