Michael and Pepe welcome you to their 16th Century Home set in the heart of Thaxted, Crossways Guest House which overlooks the famous Guildhall. We have been restaurateurs and hoteliers for the last 30 years and now have extensively refurbished our house to provide extremely comfortable individually decorated rooms with en-suite facilities.

Thaxted has many historical buildings including the 15th Century Parish Church with cathedral proportions, the six hundred year old Guildhall and the restored and working John Webb's Windmill. It is situated in a pretty part of Essex with many picturesque villages, towns and historic country houses like Audley End within easy reach.

There is a choice of restaurants, wine bar and pubs in the Town for dining out, all within walking distance.

Stansted Airport is 7 miles from Thaxted and Cambridge is just 35 minutes away.
