Edinburgh Guest House Accommodation: We have 7 beautiful, comfortable and clean rooms to choose from at our Edinburgh guest house and B&B. Below is a little bit more information about each guest room. If you have a particular preference of room please mention this while booking and we will try our best to help. Guest Room 2 - Is a spacious double bedroom on the first floor at the back of the guest house. Quiet with a bright ensuite shower room. High ceilings and a bay window as you would expect in a Victorian bedroom. Guest Room 3 - Is a quiet room on the first floor at the back of the guest house. Equipped with a double bed and a single bed and full shower room. High ceilings and a bay window and a freshly decorated bathroom are sure to make you comfortable. Guest Room 4 - WOW! Is the frequent exclamation upon check-in to this room. Originally the upstairs lounge, it is large with a beautiful cornice and frieze, outstanding view of the city and a great en-suite shower room. Two single beds and a double bed, an overstuffed couch and chair and enough space to stretch out in. Guest Room 5 - We recently redecorated this twin bedded room on the second floor of the guest house. It is at the back of the B&B with a full shower room. Guest Room 6 - Slightly larger than Guest Room 5, it is also on the second floor at the back, so it is quiet and comfortable. Guest Room 7 - The double version of Guest Room 4. Definitely bring your camera. You could never leave this room, take pictures from the double wide window and still see most of Edinburgh. Spacious shower room, great double bed and the View. Guest Room 8 - Our dedicated single room, all the facilities including ensuite, TV, etc, without the surcharges normally added to single traveller accommodation. As Edinburgh is the Capital of Scotland we are also close to the Scottish Parliament, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile where many events over the years have seen Royalty as well as presidents and prime ministers meet. The Western General Hospital, a large supermarket and Ainslie Park Fitness Centre are about a mile west of us, also with good bus access. Set on the outskirts of the mill town of Penicuik, Glenferndale is a modern family home converted for its current use. Although a mere 10 minutes from the centre of town it has a rural feel as it sits on the outskirts of the Sir John Clerk estate overlooking the Pentland hills. Although you feel you are in the country it is actually situated on a main bus route and with the service being frequent you can be in Edinburgh in approx 20 minutes. This service runs through the night. We have seven bedrooms in the house of which four are used for B&B purposes. Two of our lettable rooms have en suites and two share a bathroom (although an additional shower room and WC are located on the ground floor meaning no one gets inconvenienced). The property has in total 6 WCs, two baths (one of which is a jacuzzi bath) with both having built in showers. The former swimming pool has been converted to use as a residents lounge with Pool table and surround sound projector screen with all TV Channels. Ideal for relaxing after a busy day out. For further relaxation we have a steam room that can accommodate four people which is available for guests use for a small local charge. Just around the corner from the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art is Norman and Elizabeth Henderson's family home where they welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast. Norman and Elizabeth are warm and welcoming hosts, they designed the house themselves and it is full of character with pine beams, and lots of books and pictures, comfortable and quiet for a good night's sleep and has a pretty garden where you can have breakfast in the summer. As a bonus, The Lodge is set back from the road with private off-street parking - a rare find in Edinburgh! Through Dean Gallery gardens and past the Water of Leith you can walk to the West End of Princes Street in 15 minutes. On Queensferry Road buses are regular and plentiful, even at night, and there's also a less regular Gallery bus (free) to and from the centre of Edinburgh.
