However for real walking pleasure and to get rid of the cobwebs, we would thoroughly recommend the beautiful Donegal coastline, taking in some of the amazing beaches with rolling Atlantic waves. Wilmer Lodge is an attractive accommodation situated off the main Belfast/Dublin Road (A4). Five minutes from the Killyhelvin Hotel, Enniskillen Town, Castle Coole and the Ardhowen Theatre. It is on the direct route to Marble Arch Caves and Florencecourt, both of which are major tourist attractions in Fermanagh. The property is placed close enough to explore the Erne's top angling spots and angling advice is offered. A bait fridge and tackle store is also available. You can also have a pleasant walk to the nearby lakeside marina. Wilmer Lodge has 4 Guest Bedrooms, each with wonderful views of the garden and surrounding countryside. Each room have flat screen TV's. Meals are served in our Dining Room with everyone eating around the same table - an excellent way to share the days adventures and feel part of the family. Evening meals are available on request. Our Sitting Room is decorated in warm pastel shades and is perfect for relaxing in at the end of day. A short walk from the Wilmer Lodge will bring you to Carrybridge Hotel and Marina, The hotel has a reputation of providing superb meals and bar snacks at affordable prices. During the warmer weather it is most relaxing to have meals served outside while watching the activity on the water. Large cruisers, canal boats & smaller craft are moored at the jetties. This area which will be of interest to coarse fishermen, were some of the best pegs have had heavy weights recorded. Boa Island, Tully Castle, Crom Castle, Devenish Island and Belleek Pottery can also be visited. A short walk from the lodge up the hill and to the field adjacent you can go back in time by visiting the ringed fort, further on you can find one of the last original milestones. This has just recently been remounted after lying hidden since the Second World War. (These were deliberately buried so German soldiers would not know their whereabouts.) During Autumn/Winter you can have a break and come and enjoy the aroma of a live peat fire. You can also sample fresh spring water from an original well, this is the ideal drink to refresh you and can also be enjoyed in drinks as ice cubes. The grounds run down to the shores of Lower Lough Erne, where there are extensive pathways meandering along the shoreline. Guests have exclusive access to the pathways and to a gravelled seating and bbq area at the lakeside. There is also a slipway to launch a boat. On arrival at Mullansbay, you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. The rooms are finished to a luxurious standard, with underfloor heating and solid walnut wood flooring.
