Ladeddie Barns B&B is a large country house we built in 1991 based on a Steading conversion to create a very spacious 7 bedroom family home, including stables and stableyard (we have a thoroughbred eventer and two delightful donkeys). The property has 2 rooms available for Bed and Breakfast accommodation: 1 x Twin and 1 x Double. Children are welcome and for families, a cot is available and, by arrangement, there is an additional small child's bedroom that can be made available. However, we cannot accommodate pets. Both main rooms have television; and Wireless Internet access is available throughout the property. A family-size bathroom including bath and shower is available for exclusive guest use. A secondary toilet for private guest use is also available when we have more than one room occupied. Breakfast is served in the Dining Hall and is either a traditional full Scottish or a continental-style breakfast. The Dining Table converts to a 3/4 size snooker table and younger guests are welcome to try their hand at snooker or pool! There is a small conservatory off the Dining Hall which is available for guest use and this gives access to the garden grounds which guests are free to roam. Ladeddie Barns is near St Andrews, the Home of Golf, in Fife, Scotland. Most of our guests have their own or a hire-car, but we can arrange collection and deposit to/from Leuchars or Cupar railway stations, or St Andrews town centre on request. Guests also have the use of a lounge with log burning stove - this is not usually needed as the house is centrally heated - but there is something cosy about a real fire occasionally in the winter. Breakfast will normally be served in the guest lounge - but on a hot summer's day you may wish to have your breakfast outside in the front garden and enjoy the sea views over the Beauly Firth towards the mountains. If you are looking for an active holiday or short break then you have come to the right place. From Charleston you can be in a stunning but different location within a short drive in any direction. You are only a few minutes from the A9 trunk road. Go south and you can be in Aviemore in half an hour, or you could be at the Lecht ski centre in just over an hour. Go north and west and you can be in the coastal port of Ullapool in about one hour. Beyond Ullapool lies a unique and stunning landscape awaiting exploration. Go north and east and you can visit Dingwall, Invergordon, Tain and Dornoch Go directly east and you have the Moray coast line at your disposal. Nairn, Forres, Findhorn, and Elgin are all within easy reach Go west along Loch Ness to Fort Augustus, Spean Bridge or Fort William.
