A warm and friendly welcome and comfortable accommodation awaits you at the Carlton Hotel, in the village of Mumbles on the Gower Peninsula close to Swansea in south west Wales.
The hotel has 20 bedrooms all of which have en-suite facilities, television, tea / coffee making facilities, radio clock alarms and central heating.
Ground floor rooms, the restaurant, the bar and public toilet facilities are all adapted for the disabled.
Company representatives are welcome all year as are club and party bookings.
The hotel and the house are a short stroll from some of Dylan Thomas's favourite "watering holes". From here it is a short stroll, along the sea wall promenade to the amusements at Mumbles Pier and the Lifeboat and Coast Guard Stations. A little further on you will find Bracelet Bay and Limeslade Bay. From there a path with beautiful views takes you to Rotherslade, Langland and Caswell Bays. While you walk, refreshments can be found at all of the bays, ranging from a cup of tea, to an ice cream, to a cheeseburger to substantial Italian Cuisine. The choice is yours.
Our comfortable air conditioned bar serves a wide variety of beers, wines and spirits. Our restaurant is open from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, Monday to Saturday for evening meals, providing a varied menu, snacks and a comprehensive wine list. Traditional Sunday lunch is also offered.
The television lounge offers satellite TV.
The hotel is located on the sea front, offering panoramic views across Swansea Bay, and is a short walk from the attractions of Mumbles and the picturesque village of Oystermouth. Immediately opposite the hotel are excellent facilities for water skiing, sailing and powerboating. If you would like to bring your own boat good slipway access is available at Knabb Rock slipway. Swansea's modern city centre, with numerous shops, cinemas, theatre, nightclubs is just a short trip from the hotel.
Golfers also will be pleased with the wide selection of golf courses in the area.
Hikers can walk to the beach along the coastal path from the Carlton Hotel, Mumbles. The location of the hotel is ideal for "eating out" with a large selection of nearby restaurants and pubs serving good food.
