Our home since 1989, this former Victorian coach house, built about 1875, is set into a hillside amongst mature trees and is situated in a quiet location just five minutes walk from Ashbourne town centre where we now offer bed & breakfast accommodation.

An unusual 'upside-down' layout has been preserved with the guest rooms being conveniently situated on the ground floor of the house.

Omnia Somnia has for many years achieved the highest grade of five diamonds in both the English Tourism Council and the Automobile Association inspection schemes.

Numerous other accolades including a Gold Award for Excellence from the ETC, and red diamonds from the AA put Omnia Somnia right at the very top of the highest grade.

We have three very special rooms, each one unique and different in style. All have individually controlled central heating, televisions, VCR's, radios and CD players.Our hospitality trays have Royal Crown Derby china and cafetieres. The en-suite bath or shower rooms have cosy bathrobes and high quality toiletries.

Occidens : A perfect little suite enjoying the afternoon and evening sunshine. Enter your own sitting room, then climb the stairs to a romantic hideaway bedroom, and a canopied bed with crisp, white linen. Complemented by an en-suite shower room with gold fittings.

Meridies : Relax in the comfortable armchairs in a sumptuous panelled room. The bed is hand crafted, a fully draped four poster in mahogany, with a hand sewn tapestry frieze. Complemented by an en-suite shower room with gold fittings.

Oriens : This room overlooks the garden and faces the morning sun. Contemplate the many pictures as you unwind on the comfortable sofa. A luxurious en-suite bathroom includes a bath big enough for two, a shower and a bidet.

Dining Room : The dining room is upstairs and overlooks the garden and hillside beyond. Breakfast is individually cooked to order from our extensive menu. For those who wish to take dinner, we offer a three course meal with a choice at each course, and coffee with chocolates to finish. We have a residents' licence and an interesting wine list, and have won several awards for our cuisine.

We specialise in varied and imaginative recipes using local ingredients and are happy to provide vegetarian alternatives.

Enjoy the experience with a sense of luxury enhanced by white linen, silver cutlery, crystal glass and fine china in sensational surroundings. Perfect for celebrating your special occasions.

Lounge : Our lounge is on the first floor, with French windows leading to the upper level of the garden. Enjoy an aperitif here before dinner and coffee afterwards. Our library of books will keep you entertained for a while.

Garden : Omnia Somnia has a large hillside garden for you to wander around and enjoy if you wish, with views over the town and the surrounding hills.
