Roebuck Inn, Chapel-en-le Frith, High Peak Derbyshire, Peak District

A 13th Century Coaching Inn in the Heart of Chapel-en-le-Frith, filled with traditional things from Hand pulled Ales and Beers, coal fires and a warm welcome, but nonetheless recently refurbished providing high quality whilst retaining Old World charm.

The Roebuck started out as a family house, becoming a "beer house" in 1720. In 1750 it became the local Courthouse, and then with a complete change of direction a Methodist Meeting house. In 1850 it returned to being a beer houseand in 1880 the "Order of the Shepherds" made it their headquarters.

Today The Roebuck is a busy local Inn and has recently added Accomodation to its normal warm welcome, good food and friendly atmosphere.
