Sink Green Farm, Rotherwas, Hereford, Herefordshire

A very warm friendly welcome awaits you at Sink Green Farm with its 16th. Century stone farmhouse overlooking the picturesque Wye Valley and peaceful Herefordshire countryside, yet only three miles from the Cathedral City of Hereford.

The 170 acre farm has been in our family for over 90 years when it was purchased by my Grandfather to enable livestock purchased around the Welsh borders to be collected together and rested before being walked into Hereford market to be sold.

We started providing holiday accommodation in 1991 and believe that we are located in the ideal position for those who would like a relaxing holiday or somewhere to unwind after the pressures of business.

Day licences are available for coarse and salmon fishing, along part of our riverbank.

Relax in one of our ensuite guest rooms, enjoy a traditional four poster bed that overlooks the stunning views of the River Wye. Another room has a traditional brass bed and an original stone wall and the spacious, twin bedded room overlooking the garden and Wye Valley.

All have tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV and central heating.

We have a comfortable lounge complete with oak beams and an impressive fireplace, which we believe dates back to medieval times.

The lounge overlooks the large garden with the panoramic views across the Wye Valley to the wooded hills of the Woolhope Dome.

Traditional English breakfast is served in our flagstoned floored dining room. Meat is supplied by a local village butcher and the eggs are all free range.

Whilst we pride ourselves on our traditional English breakfast we are more than happy to serve whatever combination of breakfast you wish for, catering for your personal dietary requirements.

We provide a map recommending several traditional Inns in our locality giving a wide choice of meals at competitive prices.

The garden provides a restful environment where you can sit and enjoy the stunning views across the Wye Valley to the wooded hills of the Woolhope Dome.

For your added enjoyment and relaxation please make use of our recently added facility of Summer House and Hot tub.

In the summer house there is a refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities and BBQ for your use. Charcoal is available, all you need to provide is the expertise and your personal choice of food along with liquid refreshments. If a BBQ sounds like too much "hard work" we have a list of Restaurants and Take-Aways that offer a service locally, so your choice of meal can be collected or sometimes delivered, while you enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

Enjoy the tranquil walks through our permanent pasture fields and along the banks of the River Wye which for over one and a half miles meanders along the border of our farm.
