Nestled between The Mere and Shropshire Union Canal Mereside Farm stands in 14 acres of old farmland in North Shropshire.

The attractive C18th farmhouse accommodation has now been extended into an adjacent building all at ground floor level (suitable for mobility level 2) and with the luxury of underfloor heating throughout.

The beautifully decorated and furnished rooms are self-contained each with their own mini-kitchens (inc microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster etc) and stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits and a jug of fresh milk.

The attractively furnished bedrooms have genuinely comfortable beds and the en suite bath/shower rooms are complemented by large fluffy towels on heated towel rails and an array of toiletries. Hairdryers are also available.

There are comfortable sofas and digital televisions with freeview, table and chairs and direct access into a south facing walled garden with its own sitting areas.

Free wireless broadband is also available including old-fashioned games and books and information about the surrounding area and things to do.

Breakfast (if required) is taken in the farmhouse and includes our own homemade Ellesmere sausages.

Cyclists, walkers, dogs and families are all catered for. Buses run past the farm gate and country walks from the doorstep.

Mereside Farm is ideally located next to the largest of the seven Meres (lakes) in the area making it perfect for walking and bird watching. We are also within 20 miles of 6 towns. Easy access to various National Trust properties, gardens, attractions and Ironbridge.

The Farm is an easily walked ½ mile from the centre of Ellesmere where there is a variety of shops, pubs and takeaways.
