Orchard House Bed and Breakfast is set in a pretty converted barn with original 16th century oak structure, two miles south of Ludlow with its
castle, market and Georgian architecture. We offer excellent ensuite
accommodation in South Shropshire, ideal for short breaks, walking or cycling in the Welsh Marches, and exploring the historic villages of North Herefordshire. We offer high quality accommodation and excellent breakfasts served with local produce. We are in the secluded hamlet of Ashford Bowdler only five minutes by car from historic Ludlow.

A friendly welcome is guaranteed. Come and enjoy the rustic charm and a pot of tea with home-made cake in the garden.

The cosy sitting room with wood-burning stove is available on request to groups.

The barn is filled comfortably with tasteful furnishings and luxury linen.

The charming bedrooms are all private with ensuite facilities and power showers, each with their own staircase. There is a television, clock-radio, tea-making facilities and other little luxuries in each room. The two double rooms also have baths.

There are low beams as each room has a sloping ceiling and the character of the barn is visible everywhere.

The twin/king-size room has a large multi-headed power shower.

A hearty English breakfast is served with Fresh local produce: free-range eggs from our neighbour’s hens, award winning Ludlow sausages and local bacon, fresh fruit, Organic breads, choice of teas and coffee. We also provide vegetarian options on request.

You can help yourself and relax with our large selection of books and magazines either in your room or in the garden with a glass of wine. We also have lots of information about all the interesting places to visit in South Shropshire/North Herefordshire, maps, brochures, history information and restaurant menus.

Being two miles from Ludlow, it is possible to walk into town but we offer a drop-off service into Ludlow for dinner by prior arrangement and book a taxi for return.
