The Falcon Hotel at Bridgnorth offers family friendly hotel accommodation that is ideally located for exploring the heart of England. Our hotel dates back to the 17th Century and sits on the east bank of the River Severn.
We have 14 guest rooms available at our hotel, all of which have been tastefully refurbished and the top floor of our hotel has been totally re built with en suites added. There are a mixture of double, twin, single and family rooms, all of which are comfortably furnished and include a Freeview TV & refreshments tray.
Our hotel is known for its delicious food, warm friendly atmosphere and range of beverages available. There are two outside seating areas. One is enclosed at the rear of the hotel and the other is at the side of the hotel allowing access to both the carpark and the town centre, via the arch. The car park is open to the public on a pay and display basis but residents are issued with a parking permit during their stay.
Bridgnorth is divided in to two parts, High Town which is built on a dominant cliff and Low Town huddling around a bridge that crosses the River Severn, the longest river in Britain. Several flights of donkey steps, a cobbled Cartway and the funicular Bridgnorth Cliff Railway connect the two. From High Town's Castle Walk there are stunning views of wooded countryside, claimed by Charles II to "be the finest view in all my kingdom" as green riverside pastures and high outcrops of warm red rock enhance the landscape.
Our hotel occupies a highly prominent position at the heart of Brigdnorth 'Low Town' which is just out of the hustle and bustle of the High street in High town. Also in Low Town is the standard gauge Severn Valley Railway operating steam train services throughout the year carrying passengers for 16 glorious miles along the riverside track to Kidderminster via Hampton Loade and Bewdley. This steam railway is frequently used as a location for both films and television.
Keen fisherman are welcome at the hotel and we are in an ideal location as we are only a stone’s throw from the river and there are 2 fishing shops within a 5 minute walk.
