We are about to let you in on one of the best kept secret in the Cotswolds.

So well hidden in the Warwickshire countryside that unless you knew it was there or happened across it you would never find it. And some of our customers want to keep it that way. We know of one who only brought visitors during the Winter months, in the dark, and made sure the route he took was confusing in the hope they would not be able to pass on the location to others!

The Fox and Hounds remains one of the few unspoilt village hostelries nestling in glorious countryside on the edge of the North Cotswolds. Handy for Stratford upon Avon, Oxford and the near-by market towns of Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, and Moreton in Marsh, this honey coloured stone inn has been trading since 1540 a.d.

A warm welcome, roaring log fires, traditional ales (as well as over 180 whiskies!) and delicious food using the best local produce awaits you. A traditional Sunday lunch as well as the blackboard specials and a Bar menu means there is something for everyone - or if it is a special occasion, we can accommodate up to twenty four guests with your own menu in part of the Inn.

All recently refurbished, our comfortable rooms each have colour T.V., complimentary toiletries, coffee and tea making facilities and no early morning call!

People travel many miles to sample the food from our very diverse menu and we are happy to welcome you and ensure you enjoy the experience.

We prefer to be known as a pub which serves very good food rather than a restaurant, but we would strongly recommend that you book your table in advance in order to avoid disappointment.
