If you are looking for an escape from the urban grind, for a week or a weekend, in winter or summer, John and Irene Curren are waiting to welcome you to Ardtreck Cottage and introduce you to the best of Skye. Ardtreck Cottage provides comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation as a base for exploring the island of Skye; as a short, but spectacular, stop on a tour of the Western Highlands; or simply a welcoming home where you can enjoy the peace, and quiet solitude, of north west Skye to a backdrop of one of the best views on the island. The Cottage has been awarded a 4-star quality rating by the Scottish Tourist Board (Visit Scotland) every year since we opened in 2007. Ardtreck Cottage offers bed and breakfast accommodation, with the option of evening meals, from 1st March to 31st October. We have two double, en-suite, bedrooms, and one twin bedroom with a large, private, bathroom. The Cottage is situated on the edge of Fiskavaig Bay in North West Skye. The house has panoramic views west, from Loch Bracadale, to South Uist and Benbecula in the Western Isles, and north, over the islands of Wiay and Oronsay, to MacLeod’s Tables, with a glimpse of McLeod’s Maidens, like some graceful old sailing ship sliding into view, round Idrigill Point. We especially welcome guests who want to experience the beauty of the Skye hills and coastline at first hand and we are very much a walker and cyclist friendly bed and breakfast. Ardtreck Cottage is a recently constructed (2006) four bedroom house from Skye Homes, an island company based in Portree, who supply timber frame kits based on traditional Highland house designs. While traditional in appearance Ardtreck Cottage provides guests with the comforts of modern living but with a minimal impact on the environment. Rates : From £32 per person per night. From £64 per room per night based on two people sharing. Children are welcome over the age of 14. No smoking. Sorry, no pets. Off street parking. 4 Star Visit Scotland.
