Ann & Mike welcome you to their working farm which is in the picturesque village of Maltby-le-Marsh on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, situated only three miles from the coast and the lively town of Mablethorpe where they offer you farmhouse bed & breakfast accommodation. Established 15 years ago, our farmhouse bed & breakfast provides visitors to Lincolnshire with a relaxing and peaceful hideaway yet a convenient base for visiting historic local market towns of Horncastle, Louth and Aford. The sandy beaches of Mablethorpe are only 3 miles away, or should you wish for more adventure such as a day at Butlins or Fantasy Island, then a 30 minute car ride is all it takes, as does a visit to the Cadwell park racing circuit. Our farm is within easy walking distance of the village shop, local pub, fishing lakes and 9-hole golf course so you won't be stuck for things to do, should you decide not to venture far. The children will love our Jacob sheep and lambs which can be bottle-fed come spring time. If you are lucky, you may also see some lambs being born. We have free-range chickens and chicks which need feeding and there are always eggs to find and collect. Children can also feed our ornamental fish in their pond. We also have a pony, cattle, budgies and dogs, including Emm the sheepdog, who is the children's best playmate. Guest accommodation can be found either in the farmhouse or in our converted stable block. We have both ensuite and ground floor accommodation. The large gardens allow you to relax and enjoy the fabulous sunsets. Our lake provides superb fishing, and is stocked with many fish, such as carp, tench, rudd and roach which is free of charge and available only to residents. Breakfast is served in the farmhouse dining room, and comprises of unlimited fruit juices, cereals, toast, tea and coffee. A traditional farmhouse breakfast including local Lincolnshire sausages is also included in the price. Evening meals are also a favorite with guests. Local produce and fresh vegetables are served nightly - no chips at Maltby! Ample car parking is available. Dogs are welcome in our stable block accommodation. There is a good choice of bedrooms at Grange Farm, all attractively furnished, well-equipped and comfortable. The stable accommodation consists of five bedrooms, three en-suite rooms and two rooms sharing a shower room. There are two twin-bedded rooms, each with their own wash hand basin, one double room with patio door and one room with a double and single bed with en suite facilities. Everyone has their own room key, allowing you to come and go as you please. All rooms have a colour television. A public telephone, tea- making facilities, hairdryer etc. are all within the stable block. Enjoy the homely atmosphere of the farmhouse with its log fires in winter; In the farmhouse there are two luxury en-suite bedrooms, one a twin and the other a family room and a double bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom. A full English breakfast is served in our traditional farmhouse dining room. Evening meals are also available by arrangement. The historic city of Lincoln has a castle and cathedral and is only a forty minute drive away. There are numerous golf courses in the area available to non-members. The area is full of fun and interesting places to visit such as Mablethorpe with its sandy beaches and animal gardens. Cadwell Park racing circuit, local horse riding centre, Hubpards Hills at Louth, the antique centres at Horncastle or simply enjoy walking in the Wolds. Rates : From £20 to £30 per person per night.
