The AA has awarded us 4 stars which are selected on the basis of quality of bedrooms bathrooms and public areas and we have also been awarded the VisitBritain Gold Award.
Greta House is part of a Victorian terrace and has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard.
In the dining room the tables are laid with white china and crisp, freshly laundered linen.
The bedrooms are all en-suite with those extra touches that make your stay special, such as fluffy bathrobes, quality toiletries, facecloths, hairdryer, TV and video.
All bedrooms are decorated to the highest standard, with thoughtful colour scheme throughout. Super snuggly pillows and snow white bed linen make the rooms an oasis of calm and comfort.
If you feel like staying in during the evening, bedroom snacks such as home-made soup, fresh cut sandwiches or the "Poshest of Ploughmans" cheeseboard served in the comfort of your bedroom.
Indulge yourself at breakfast described as memorable by the AA inspector, giving us an egg cup award, Porridge cereals fresh fruit and yogourt just for starters, and to follow the Great English Breakfast, with local sausage and bacon. Maybe you feel like fish try the smoked haddock with poached egg or some smoked salmon. Finish off with toasted homebaked bread and preserves, you won't be disappointed.
