The Buck Inn overlooks the green in the picturesque village of Thornton Watlass. The village lies at the entrance of Wensleydale; the gateway to the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Being just a few miles from the A1 we make a much better stop off than those nasty service stations, or if you're travelling a long way, why not stay with us and break up your journey? We have a large garden at the rear shaded by mature trees where you can relax and refresh with a long cold drink and a bite to eat on a hot summers day.

We have a total of seven bedrooms, three of which are double/twin en-suite rooms and one of which is a single en-suite. There is also an en-suite family room which sleeps 4 and a cot if required. The family room is at ground floor level and suitable for people with mobility problems. In addition we can also offer two twin rooms which share a bathroom.

If you are looking to come as a large group, extra beds can be arranged in some of the rooms. At full capacity we can accommodate fourteen guests comfortably and sixteen at a push! There is also a sizeable lounge exclusively for the use of our guests.

All bedrooms benefit from an attractive outlook over the pub garden or village green. Televisions and tea and coffee making facilities are provided in each room. Our housekeepers, Margaret and Sarah, take great pride in the cleanliness of our rooms and ensure that they stay stocked with tasty biscuits too!

£80 to £90 per room per night based on 2 people sharing.
