Terry and Veronica Gilbert welcome you to Winton House in Wooler, Northumberland - Gateway to the Cheviots.
Situated in a quiet street in the small town of Wooler, Winton House is an attractive Edwardian house that was opened as a family run guest house in 1994 offering spacious, comfortable accommodation.
Wooler is ideally situated for exploring the English and Scottish Borders with their historically rich mix of castles, abbeys and towns, and for walking in the north Cheviot Hills. Within half an hour’s drive is the coast with miles of sandy beaches and imposing castles, Holy Island and boat trips to the Farne Islands. Pony-trekking, fishing, golf and gliding are also available locally.
Good home cooking is a speciality at Winton House. We do not serve evening meals - however, there is a variety of eating places in and around Wooler within easy walking or driving distance.
We have two double bedrooms (one en-suite) and one twin-bedded room (also en-suite). All have tea/coffee making facilities and colour television. Double en-suite (with shower), overlooking the front garden.
