The Huddersfield Central Lodge is independently run by the Marsden family. The lodge has a reputation for friendliness. We are 4 star accredited guest accommodation with Visit Britain and the A.A.

Awards achieved in 2006 include: Winner, Huddersfield in Bloom, Silver Gilt award, Yorkshire in Bloom, Winner, Huddersfield Tidy Trader and an award for Deliciously Yorkshire breakfast.

All rooms are fully en-suite with all modern facilities. The rooms have TV, complementary tea/coffee trays, direct dial telephone and trouser press.

There is a fully Licensed bar, refurbished lounge and newly built conservatory with a good selection of drinks and wines available at the bar and the opportunity to watch the large plasma television in the conservatory.

Our award winning breakfast caters for both vegetarians and meat eaters. Produce is locally bought and organic where possible.

There are a wide variety of starters including fruit juice, muesli, and choice of cereals, healthy snacks, a good choice of cheeses and all manner of breads.

Drinks including fruit teas, various coffees as well as good Yorkshire tea.

For an evening meal without leaving the Lodge, why not try the “Woks Cooking” experience.

We have a facility known to the family a, “Woks Cooking,” there is a wide range of restaurants and take-away’s in the area, who will deliver to the Lodge or in some cases we can collect for you. Hot plates and cutlery is provided, and you can enjoy your meal in the lounge, conservatory or in your room. A list of menus from various outlets is in reception for you to choose from and is regularly updated.

There is a wide choice of quality eating venues within 10 minutes walk. Italian, Greek, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Mexican, French, Persian and Argentinean in addition to traditional or modern English restaurants and cafes, plus of course Pub food and take-aways.
