The Mount Bed & Breakfast, Higher Kinnerton, Chester, Cheshire

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at this comfortable Victorian country house, set in it's own grounds which extend to twelve acres. The Mount is situated about half a mile from the village of Higher Kinnerton with it's two excellent pubs, both with restaurants.

The Mount offers 3 bedrooms:-

1 Double ensuite shower

Elegantly decorated throughout the comfortable, spacious bedrooms have large picture windows, comfortable chairs for relaxing and each has a television with tea-making facilities provided.

The large drawing room with open log fire and the South-facing conservatory are both for the use of guests.

Breakfast is served in the sunny dining room overlooking the gardens.

The gardens cover nearly 3 acres with a large number of shrubs, some mature trees, mixed borders and vegetable garden. The gardens are also open for the National Garden Scheme and other charities. Guests are welcome to enjoy them, play tennis on the hard court or play croquet.

Communications are excellent with the A55 expressway only a few minutes away, giving access to many centres and places of interest.

The historic walled city of Chester is about 6 miles distant, as is Mold, a small Welsh town which is home to the National Theatre of Wales. Liverpool and Manchester are 45 minutes away and Snowdonia is within an hours drive.

Among the many places to visit locally are the city of Chester with it's Cathedral, a wealth of history, extensive shopping, trips to the River Dee and the oldest racecourse in the country. Chester Zoo, Erddig Hall, Chirk Castle, Penrhyn Castle, Arley Hall Gardens, Bodnant Gardens, Ness Gardens, Tatton Park and Llangollen, home of the Eisteddfod, canal and famous aqueduct at Froncysyllte.
