The Edwardene is a beautiful Victorian Lakeland stone property, quietly situated near to Keswick market place, theatre and lake. Built in 1885, the Edwardene has three storeys with eleven en-suite bedrooms, and, for the comfort and safety of our guests is completely non smoking.
Within a short and easy walk of Keswick's market square, the guest house provides a most convenient location, close to many amenities yet in a quiet position. The Edwardene serves as an excellent base to explore the central and northern Lake District, whether for a relaxing break away from it all, or for discovering the beauty of the mountains, fells and lakes of this outstanding area.
Our bedrooms are all furnished and decorated to a very high standard and all have bath and/or shower rooms en-suite. Each room has a direct dial telephone with alarm clock and radio, colour television, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.
Breakfasts are special at The Edwardene with locally smoked bacon, Cumberland sausages and tasty free range eggs. Vegetarian, vegan, coeliac and special diets are also catered for to the same high standard (please let us know of dietry requirements when you book).
In the evenings you can relax by the fireside in our comfortable lounge, chat with friends, plan your next day, or simply enjoy a glass of wine or a game of scrabble.
