Elder Grove is a family-run guest house offering you wonderful bed and breakfast in Ambleside. The accommodation is warm and welcoming, making this Bed and Breakfast a fantastic location for your holiday or weekend break in the Lake District.

Run by Paul and Vicky McDougall, who have lived in the Lake District all their lives, Elder Grove has all you'll need for a relaxing stay in Ambleside. Accommodation at Elder Grove is ideally suited to families, couples or those visiting the Lake District alone.

Bedrooms : We have single, twin and double bedrooms. We have one double room which we accept dogs in and two double rooms which we can add a cot or folding bed to accommodate a family of three.

We have a spacious superior room with a Victorian half tester bed.

From April 2008 we will have a new Superior room with a contemporary four poster bed, this room will also have a sofa bed with a luxury memory foam mattress, this will allow the room to be versatile offering a superior twin of a family room for three (minimum child age of 10).

All rooms have views over Ambleside, the rooms at the rear have views of the surrounding fells.

To start your day we put the 'Breakfast' in Bed and Breakfast, giving you a choice of cooked breakfast or lighter bites from our Breakfast buffet. We think Paul's Breakfast is the best in Ambleside.

Set in the heart of the Lake District, Elder Grove has easy access to the town of Ambleside, with the centre being only 5 minutes walk. Ambleside is ideal for access to other parts of the Lake District such as Keswick, Windermere and Coniston.
