The refurbishment of Cubbon House produced good quality, modern, comfortable rooms in a traditional, fairly small, seafront building. Due to the abundance and variety of pubs and restaurants in close proximity to Cubbon House, we do not have a Residents’ Bar and we find that our guests prefer the choice of dining out. Thus, not only can you enjoy a pleasant, quiet stay free from the noise of a hotel bar, but you can also experience a wide rang of cuisine, often at prices which are more reasonable than most hotels. The Hotel is located at Douglas on the Isle of Man.

We are not a large, staff filled hotel, which is why we can offer a value for money tariff structure, but we still offer a friendly service, which comes at no extra charge.

All rooms are en-suite, with tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer, and a colour television.

There are a selection of single, double and twin rooms available, including an Executive Twin. This room has a ‘jacuzzi bath’ and provides a panoramic view across Douglas Bay.

By the use of an additional, outer, lockable door, two rooms can be used by a family where the children are in their own room but they can be kept under supervision.

The combination of family rooms available is a twin plus a double (with sea views) or a twin plus a single (without sea views).

We have a ladies only fitness centre (Body & Mind) in the basement to keep you in shape and to burn off those holiday or business meals. If you have never visited a fitness centre before, and if you have time, you can book a short Beginners’ Course. If you are a regular exerciser then the female Instructors will be able to arrange a temporary membership to suit your requirements. As a guest of Cubbon House, we have negotiated a significant discount for you.

We are ideally located on the promenade of the Island’s capital of Douglas, adjacent to the main shopping area, and only a few minutes walk from the main Financial Sector, the Sea Terminal, the Victorian Gaiety Theatre and the Villa Marina entertainment complex.

If you are visiting the Island for pleasure, Douglas is the centre for entertainment, sport, and transportation. From Cubbon House, a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and pubs are available within a short walk, allowing you the opportunity to dispense with the use of your car during the evening.

For sightseeing without the use of a vehicle, the horse trams (summer only) and the buses stop right outside our front door. Also during the summer months you can go sightseeing by electric tram, steam railway, by coach, or even by boat.

Should business be the reason for your visit, the majority of the Island’s companies are located in Douglas. As Cubbon House is in the centre of the town, you can visit a large number of them on foot which is very time efficient.
