The house retains many exposed beams and now features a grand dining room. Set in 4.5 acres of grounds in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside and dominated by a 2.5 acre lake this is the perfect place to relax and explore the area. The lake attracts many water birds and other wildlife. The remains of a 19th century icehouse makes interesting viewing Each room is restful and tastefully decorated with views across the private lake. Both bedroom suites have television/video, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The Mallard Suite : Is ideal for honeymooning couples with a Super King size bed and separate sitting room. Ashworth House Bed & Breakfast is a grade II listed town house with an attractive walled garden situated in the historic town of Oundle, nestling in the picturesque Nene Valley region of East Northamptonshire UK. As soon as you enter the house you'll be struck by the elegance and serenity of the tastefully decorated interior. At Ashworth House, there are two rooms... On the ground floor is a comfortable and spacious twin-bedded room with its own bathroom en-suite. This room can be made into a family room with an extra bed. It has remote controlled colour TV and a radio, hot drinks facilities and hair dryer. Extra pillows and blankets are available if required. There is also a slightly smaller double room available, complete with en-suite shower and separate toilet. As well as a TV, radio, drink making facilities and hair dryer, this room has an engaging view onto the courtyard garden at the rear of the house. Traditional English breakfast which is included in the price is served in the spacious dining room. Upon arrival to the house, guests are welcomed with homemade cake and refreshments.
