The Grove is a privately owned family run guest house. Originally built as a large Victorian family home The Grove has been converted to a 7 bedroom guest house offering modern,competitively priced accommodation. DINING OUT There are several good public houses in the local area that serve excellent food. In addition, there are a variety of very good restaurants offering a varied selection of cusine; Italian, Indian, Thai, Cantonese, Chinese, traditional English and of course a number of cafes and take-away establishments. TEA AND COFFEE Complimentary tea and coffee is provided in your bedroom and is replenished daily. Should you require more tea, coffee or sugar, please do not hesitate to ask. TELEVISION Your room has a remote controlled colour TV showing BBC1, BBC2, ITV Central, Channel 4 and Channel 5. INTERNET Brought your laptop with you? We now have free Wi-Fi services available! HAIRDRYER, IRON AND IRONING BOARD Hairdryers are provided in all our rooms. An iron and ironing board is available for your use. Please ask a member of staff GUESTHOUSE ACCESS Please remember to take your keys with you when you go out. We have no time restrictions on returning to the house. Should you return very late in the evening your cooperation in keeping noise levels to a minimum will be appreciated by our other guests. PAYMENT Payment is required upon arrival. It is regretted that at present we do not accept Credit or Debit cards. Cheques supported by a guarantee card, sterling traveller’s cheques or cash are accepted. CHECKOUT TIME On your day of departure check out time is 10.30 am. If you wish to leave later, it may be possible to arrange this by giving prior notice, however a charge may be made. Our Double room also has a bath and we have a room with a fabulous four Poster bed. We do offer single occupancy rates for all rooms - ideal for the lone traveller or business person. We also have a four poster room ideal for your wedding night or a romantic weekend break. We take great care to ensure that rooms are spotlessly clean and well presented, so that you feel as if you were the very first person to stay in it. Rooms are provided with a tea & coffee making centre with courtesy biscuits, a remote control colour TV with all Freeview digital channels, clock, hairdryer, mirrors for make up etc plus additional soft furnishings and easy chairs. The whole house has the provision of Wireless Internet Access – you just supply the wireless enabled laptop. The beds have been selected to give good support, but with deep soft top upholstery. All of our guests comment on their comfort! They are turned regularly and are made up with deep duvets and nice soft plump pillows. Additional bed blankets or eiderdown are provided just in case our guests want to be extra warm. A range of good class toiletries are provided together with ‘nice soft’ bath and hand towels. We even provide little things like a sewing kit. We can also provide things like an ironing service, spare toothbrush, razor adapter etc if our guests require them – just ask! All rooms are non smoking; however our guests are welcome to smoke in the large and pleasant gardens. Altogether, the rooms provide really comfortable surroundings with a nice outlook and a certain serenity – just what is needed for relaxation and a good night’s sleep!
