Each room is individually designed, decorated and furnished and all named after local battles – one from the War of the Roses (1455-87) and two from the English Civil War (1642-52) making our bed and breakfast accommodation quite unique. Westview is in the quiet rural village of Northmoor some 10 miles to the west of Oxford. We have two B and B rooms in the house and The Garden Room - a self-catering apartment - in the garden. There are two double rooms which share a good sized bathroom. There is also a sitting room with TV reserved for guests. Coffee, tea and biscuits are always available for you to have when you want. Full English breakfast (or whatever you prefer) is served in the farmhouse kitchen at a time to suit you. The house has a large garden where you can enjoy an evening stroll. A paddock (complete with horses, ducks, chickens, etc) is alongside the garden. If you're feeling more energetic, a ten minute walk across open fields brings you to the quiet water meadows on the banks of the River Thames. We can recommend local pubs which provide good food at lunchtime and in the evenings. The nearest, The Red Lion, is in the village (5 minute walk) with several others within 2 or 3 miles. Whether you are interested in walking, cycling or fishing, looking at historic buildings and museums or driving through the Oxfordshire countryside or The Cotswolds there are plenty of opportunities within a few miles of Northmoor. As its name suggests, Manor Farm Barn is a converted barn located in a quiet residential setting near to the edge of the village. The barn was originally built in 1842 and converted to residential use in 1985. It has recently been fully refurbished and offers luxurious accommodation reflecting the best of hospitality. Annie and Robin’s aim is to provide excellence so that you are able to enjoy a quiet and relaxed stay and the very best of cuisine. The produce used in our freshly cooked breakfast, including the house specials, is sourced locally wherever possible. This includes bacon and sausages from our local prize winning butcher and free range eggs from a local farm. Dinner or a packed lunch is offered on request for an additional charge. We currently offer two ensuite bedrooms – one double and one twin-bedded. In the twin-bedded room the beds can be joined together to create a Super king size double bed.
