Llysyfran Farm is a fourth generation working family farm with a suckler herd of Welsh Black cattle. We consider ourselves to be a traditional family farm working alongside nature. We are WTB 4 star Farm accredited and in 2006 we received a Business Award for Quality of Service from the Pembrokeshire Lottery. Our guest house ‘Garn Mawr’, provides cozy and modern accommodation, with bed space for ten people and all rooms being en-suite. Set within the heart of Pembrokeshire National Park, Wales, just minutes of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Abercastle, close to St Davids. It has been awarded a Wales Tourist Board four star guest house rating. The guest house (Bed and Breakfast) is also dog friendly so please bring 'Fido' for a walk on the Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Path. There is ample parking space for guests vehicles in our private car parking area and our very own boat mooring just a few meters from the Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Path means that you can choose your preferred mode of transport to explore the areas natural beauty. Also, the Stumble Shuttle bus passes us on its route to St. David's and can be used as a means of local transportation. Garn Mawr, of Garn Isaf small holding, is a Grade II listed converted barn, just outside Abercastle near St. David's, which has been beautifully renovated, incorporating many natural materials. The ground floor is limestone throughout with underfloor heating and the stairways are constructed of ash, leading to rooms with oak floors, all of which, have en-suite bathrooms with bamboo floors. The quality accommodation is warm and cosy, with a spacious dining room and comfortable sunlounge with a wood burning stove to see off those rare chilly evenings and access onto a spacious, slate patio and raised garden area, which is ideal for BBQ's and sundowners. This area is enclosed with Pembrokeshire banks, beyond which, is an open field that is festooned with wild flowers and grasses, attracting all manner of wildlife. It is the perfect place to sit and listen to the chatterings of our resident summer swallows or look out for a twilight fox. We can also provide fun, outdoor games such as croquet or petangue (French bowls). The lounge has plenty of soft sofa chairs and various lighting options and is a great place to relax and perhaps read. The dining room is where breakfast and evening meals are usually served but outside meal times, its large central tables also provide a great space for exploring maps or sea charts and planning new adventures or perhaps the space might be used for playing family board games. Breakfast is usually served between 0730 - 0900 but can be earlier or later if arranged in advance. Where possible we always use locally sourced and free range produce that comes from within the Pembrokeshire National Park. We are also happy to cater for specific dietry needs and ask that guests inform us of these at the time of booking. Packed lunches can be provided when requested in advance and we can also offer a 3 course evening meal, plus coffee and tea. Please tell us if you require an evening meal, at the time of booking or at least a day in advance. We are dog friendly and dogs are very welcome (please ask for our dog policy). All rooms are en-suite and have their own sitting area with wall mounted, flat screen televisions that incorporate DVD/CD players. From the house and garden there are wonderful panoramic views across St. Bride’s Bay from Borough Head to Ramsey Island. Rosie and Ken offer comfortable ensuite bed and breakfast accomodation comprising one twin bedded room and one double bedded room, both at ground level. Occupancy is from 4.00pm on the day of arrival and we ask that rooms be vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure. Occupants of the double bedded room enjoy a spectacular sea view. This room has its own balcony, with a patio door from the bedroom. Both rooms have TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast is served in the conservatory, a feature of which is the magnificence of the views out to sea. A choice of full Welsh breakfast or a substantial Continental breakfast is offered and is served between 8.30 and 9.30am. Rosie makes a point of utilising fresh local produce wherever possible. The tiny village of Little Haven is only a few minutes walk away. It has a well deserved reputation as a popular and attractive holiday destination. Set in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, it is an ideal place from which to explore our beautiful county, with many visitor attractions within easy reach. Little Haven makes a natural staging post for walkers of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which is only 500 yards away, making it a convenient place for walkers to bed and breakfast. The village itself has three pubs, each with a different atmosphere but all serving good food at reasonable prices. There is also an attractive bistro, The Nest, which specialises in seafood. Ceri's Cafe at Captain Morgan's is adjacent to the beach, with outside tables and Ceri offers a variety of hot and cold food, including home made cakes and pates made by Rosie. In addition to a Craft Shop and Pottery, there is an RNLI Gift Shop in the Boat Park, adjacent to the Lifeboat Station. Ken and Rosie are in charge of this so please give it a visit and help support the Lifeboat Service. Among the recreational facilities available locally are surfing, boating, windsurfing, diving, horse riding and, of course, as already mentioned, excellent walking on the Pembrokeshire Coast long distance footpath. Most beaches offer safe bathing and are seldom crowded.
