Garbhein Bed and Breakfast offers charming accommodation in Kilmelford, nestled at the head of Loch Melfort. Our bed and breakfast in Argyll is only 14 miles south of Oban on the A816 and is in a great position to explore the area.
Our bed and breakfast has two bedrooms to choose from. Both rooms are tastefully furnished and come with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Facilities in both rooms include a flat-screen TV, USB sockets and a twin-plug for charging shavers and toothbrushes.

The en suite shower has a powerful Mira shower, heated towel rail, wash basin and toilet. A Velux window in the shower room offers delightful views of the woodland. The main bedroom’s window offers views of the hill land to the west.
Islay: This bedroom also features solid wood furniture, lots of cupboard space and a Velux window. The bright en suite shower room has a state-of-the-art modern shower room suite with a powerful overhead shower and a hand shower. The Velux window in the en suite offers views of the woodland and the Velux bedroom window enjoys mountain views.
In the morning we serve freshly squeezed juice, yoghurts, cereals and porridge, followed by a Scottish breakfast or poached/scrambled/boiled eggs. Tea and coffee are provided.
Only a short walk from us is the Cuilfail Hotel which serves delicious home-cooked bar meals and a range of drinks. Just a short drive away there are 3 other restaurants. The nearest boat trips to us are at Clachan on Isle of Seil, a short distance from Kilmelford. Attractions to visit further afield include:
