Do you want to explore the Highlands and Islands, visit Mull and go to Balamory? Do you want a quiet, relaxing, holiday? Would you like to be more physical and energetic and do something like hill walking, to see the lovely scenery around Oban. Do you like fishing, scuba diving, or sailing. For the more leisurely holiday there are the ferries to Mull and surrounding Islands. If you want to go shopping, or relax in one of Oban's many pubs or restaurants, Oban can offer them all.

We provide the service of a small family owned hotel - The Lancaster Hotel. The hotel has been run by the Ramage family since 1963. The hotel can accommodate up to fifty people. Our aim is to make your holiday a success, as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. We hope to make your stay relaxing with no stress, so you return. Whether you come for leisure, pleasure or business, we hope you enjoy yourself. Many of our residents have been coming each year, for many years, so we think we are getting something right after all repeat business is good business.

There are twenty seven rooms in the Hotel. There are; three family rooms, six doubles, ten twins and eight singles. There are seven of these rooms with sea views. All of our rooms. except three of the single rooms, have private toilet, bath or shower.

The Lancaster provides great leisure facilities for those days when the weather does not encourage you to leave the hotel. Although Oban is lovely when the sun shines, it doesn't always shine on command, when on holiday. Our facilities include :

Swimming pool : The Swimming Pool is 40 ft by 20 ft, indoor, and heated.

Steam Room : The Steam Room can seat up to six people at a time.

Sauna : The Sauna can seat up to eight people comfortably or two lying out along the benches.

Spa : The Spa has seating for four people with a lying area for one.

Dining Room : The dining room seats up to fifty people and has a panoramic view over Oban Bay. As so many of our guests like to explore Oban to try out the local restaurants and only book for bed and breakfast, we have decided to no longer to serve lunches and dinners.

Bar area : There are two Bars. The Lounge Bar is used mainly by the local people of Oban, while The Cocktail Bar is used more by residents in the hotel.

Lounge areas : There are three seating areas. The first is by the front door in the entrance porch, the second by the reception area, and the third, up the half flight of stairs to-wards the pool area, in the Residents Lounge.

Rates : £40 per person per night. £74 per room per night based on 2 people sharing.
