Craiglinnhe House, Lettermore, Ballachulish, Argyll

Your hosts, David and Beverly Hughes, welcome you to Craiglinnhe Guest House where you will experience the comfort and quality that our Visit Scotland 4 star and AA 4 star gradings rightly acknowledge.
Craiglinnhe is a charming, late-Victorian villa, built in 1885 from local granite. The house sits in attractive gardens by the shores of Loch Linnhe and is surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. In the last few years, the house has been upgraded and refurbished with the aim of providing a combination of Victorian charm and today's comforts
Craiglinnhe provides wonderful views of the Ardnamurchan hills & Loch Linnhe. We have fabulous sunsets in spring and summer, and for wildlife enthusiasts, otters, seals and red squirrels can be seen if you’re lucky enough, and a variety of seabirds such as herons, oystercatchers, terns, great northern divers and cormorants can be viewed frequently.
The sitting room is a great place to relax. Here, you can absorb yourself in a book, enjoy a drink and a chat with friends or simply gaze at the beautiful view; watch the everchanging colours as the light passes over the hills; maybe spot a seal, an otter or a dolphin in the loch, not to mention the abundant bird life. Sunsets, too, can be beautiful to behold.
In keeping with the age and character of the house, the five rooms are of different shape and size. Each one is decorated with taste and care in either traditional or modern style and provides comfortable, well-appointed accommodation with double or twin beds.
The ensuite bathrooms are bright and modern with WC, handbasin and shower - sorry, no bath tubs!.
Rooms offer beautiful views as well as TV/video players, CD hifi, hairdryers and hospitality trays. A selection of videos and CD's is available for your use (but do feel free to bring your own) as well as lots of books and magazines.
Craiglinnhe does not have any family or triple-bedded rooms and so, for this reason, children must be over 12 years of age.
Meals are served in the attractive Dining Room. If you enjoy freshly prepared, imaginative, good food, you will enjoy Craiglinnhe! We also cater for vegetarians.
We get your day off to a good start. You may choose to have a full Scottish breakfast or try a lighter alternative.
Dinner is also available. After a full day of sightseeing or walking in the hills it is cheering to anticipate the relaxed evening ahead, with a convivial drink and a delicious dinner. This takes the form of a set three course meal, which changes daily. We receive many compliments for our food and seek to offer a wide variety of ingredients, which combine Scottish produce with international cooking styles.
