Comfortably situated in the heart of Largs, between the train station and the scenic promenades, the Tigh-An-Struan offers an unbeatable stopover in exploring the Western coast of Scotland.
Every bedroom provides a great opportunity to get away- your personal en-suite bathroom with a shower, wardrobe, tea/coffee making facilities, TV+DVD set and hairdryer, give you no reason to leave! The bedrooms have all been recently furnished, and accessorised with individual Scottish touches to try and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms share quiet views of the sea and nearby stream or the Largs town.
If you're not in the mood to stay in your room, our TV Lounge contains the large TV set as well as a library of various books, making it a great for larger parties or to get together and meet our other guests. It also includes a fridge for our guests to store food and drink while they enjoy their stay. For those musicians out there, we also have a large piano downstairs for those in the mood for a jingle or a classical masterpiece.
The Tigh-An-Struan lies on the quiet Western Coast of Scotland, nestled between the Largs train station and the scenic promenades, making it an ideal point for travellers and locals alike to enjoy a rest before starting their day. Largs is situated approximately 30 minutes from both major airports in the Glasgow region, Prestwick and Glasgow International- making it a great stopover for travellers who would want to experience Western Scotland, even if it is just overnight.
When making your way from Glasgow, follow the M8 West turning into the A8 towards Greenock, and onto the A78 which will take you straight into Largs. Please note that Gogo Street is split in two by the railway station, and that the Tigh-An-Struan is situated on the side closest to the sea front.
Coming from Prestwick Airport or Ayr, you simply follow the A78 North, along the coastal route until you reach Largs.
