Description

Hazlefield House offers stylish and traditional bed and breakfast accommodation just outside of Auchencairn between Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright. Our quiet location is perfect for visitors exploring this scenic area of Dumfries & Galloway including the beautiful Solway Coast.

There are 3 rooms to choose from for your stay at Hazlefield House, all with open views to the Solway Firth and Cumbrian hills beyond.

Room 1 is a very large double room with a super king bed, en suite bath and shower, with far reaching views . The en suite bathroom is accessed down a short flight of stairs with views to the garden and hills beyond.

Room 2 is a large double room with a 4 poster bed with far reaching views to the front and en suite bath and shower.

Room 3 is a twin bedded room situated on the ground floor with rural views to the front. There is a private shower room, one 10 cms/3" step into the bathroom.

In addition to above most of our rooms offer the following:

TV with Freeview and FM clock radio with dock for iPod/Phone.
Cotton linen with choice of feather or low allergy bedding.

Situated in one of the most scenic parts of Galloway and from its elevated position, Hazlefield House has outstanding views across rolling farmland and the Solway Firth to the Lake District Hills, the whole of which can be seen, from Skiddaw in the North East, through the Buttermere Fells in the centre of Scafell range in the South West.

The wooded grounds and lawns provide an ideal setting for the house, as well as giving it privacy and shelter. The area also offers sporting and outdoor activities including excellent salmon and sea trout fishing on many of the local rivers as well as trout fishing on the numerous lochs in the area. Walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers are attracted to this area year round as are the gentle ramblers and 'potterers' all of whom will receive a warm welcome whatever the weather at Hazlefield House.
