Situated on the Burns Heritage Trail, Solway Coast and near to the Gretna Heritage Trail, Shirley Samuel Farmhouse B & B is an ideal location to tour the local countryside.

Golf can be arranged at the nearby Powfoot Golf Club and a range of activities can be found not far from our doorstep. You can cycle amidst beautiful scenery on the route that passes the farmhouse - or go for a walk around the tranquil coastline. Take advantage of local attractions such as Caerlaverock Castle and the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust reserve.

If you wish to tour further afield, to the east, Gretna with its history of runaway marriages and new factory outlet shopping centre is a mere 15 minutes away - and to the west is the regional centre of Dumfries. Wildfowling and rough shooting are available nearby during winter.

Shirley is proud of her cooking. Evening meals at the farmhouse can be arranged with her in advance. Two rooms are available en-suite and there is one with a private bathroom. All rooms are furnished with a television, radio / clock, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities.
