Breakfast: This is served in the pretty dining room, overlooking the hills and fields.
Joanna offers home-prepared fruit salads and compôtes, cereals and fruit juice and her own special blend of porridge, followed by a freshly-cooked Scottish breakfast of egg, bacon, sausage, black pudding, tomato, mushroom and fried potato, or the combination of your choice. Tea, coffee or chocolate accompanied by hot toast and marmalade or jam complete the meal.
The freshest of eggs come from the local farm shop, where the hens scratch in outside runs, the bacon and sausages are the village butcher’s own make and the award-winning black pudding is from Stornoway – not local but very much worth the trip!
Vegetarian and other special diets can be catered for and packed lunches provided with adequate notice.
