The Grange, Anstruther, Fife

The Grange is an elegant Edwardian house, furnished to a very high standard and retaining many of the original features. Built in the Canadian style by Robert Boyter, a cabinetmaker, in 1915, the original name he gave the house was 'Orillia' after travelling to Orillia, Canada, to select the oak timber he wished to use throughout the house.

The Grange is close to all amenities, whether sightseeing or playing golf. The world famous Old Course at St. Andrews is just a short drive away.

To the rear of the house there are secluded mature gardens with a sun deck and patio area. Perfect for those balmy summer evenings for guests who wish to gently laze away the evenings.

The house has been tastefully restored, retaining the beautiful wood panelling, stained glass windows, and original brass fittings. Every attention has been given to detail, for the comfort of our visitors.

Quality en-suite bedrooms and elegant public rooms, including comfortable television lounge and sun room with panoramic views over the Firth of Forth. Mature garden to rear with sun deck for those warm summer nights.

There is a wealth of excellent restaurants and inns within easy walking distance of The Grange to suit all. For the golfers who wish to play on any of the local courses we can book your starting times, with exception of the 'Old Course' as this is done by ballot. For the cyclists we can book and hire mountain bikes by the day (£8.00 per day including helmets) from our local stockist.

Rates : From £35 to £40 per person per night. From £70 to £80 per room per night based on 2 people sharing.
