Glencloy Farm Guesthouse, Brodick, Isle of Arran

Glencloy Farm Guesthouse is a stunning century old farmhouse with immense character and charm. Our house is situated in a peaceful glen just outside Brodick, the main port of the island. The house is set in a large formal garden and paddock, home to a host of Scottish wildlife and our not so wild free range chickens. From all aspects of the house we have splendid views of the Glen from rolling hills and mountains down to the sea, its idyllic.
Glencloy Farm Guesthouse is a well located base for exploring Arran. We are close enough to the centre of Brodick for guests to walk into the village, while being on the periphery we enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.
Neil and Shelley extend a warm welcome to guests to staying in their home and will be happy to help if you have any queries, be it where to eat out or where to buy a spark plug. Just ask us anything before you arrive or while staying with us to help you enjoy your stay on Arran to the fullest.
We have five bedrooms available in a variety of layouts to suit most needs, or why not bring a party of friends and family and have sole use of the guesthouse. All our bedrooms have individual character in keeping with a house of this type, and are comfortably furnished with quality crisp bedding on all beds and an ample supply of freshly laundered towels. All rooms have TV/video and a well stocked complimentary refreshments tray.
Our guests have the use of our elegant drawing room which overlooks the garden. It is a comfortably furnished room for a relaxed moment of your stay. It has a TV and a piano for your use. You will be able to enjoy your breakfast in the dining area of the drawing room while watching the many wild birds enjoy theirs; we have a visiting red squirrel that joins in too
Food is of paramount importance to us and where ever possible we will use food made, grown or produced locally or by ourselves at Glencloy. We have a small flock of chickens which roam our grounds freely much of the time, providing us with delicious fresh eggs daily. Other breakfast produce are sourced for quality, an extensive range of marmalades and jams from Arran Provisions are available at the breakfast table and honey produced just half a mile away. A full Scottish breakfast at Glencloy is a feast so be prepared! Cereal, yoghurts, fruits and toast followed by mouth watering bacon, sausage and tattie scones, have your eggs as you like them, guaranteed fresh! Breakfast is a relaxed affair and is served by Neil, usually wearing his kilt, always wearing a smile. It's enough to set you up for a day and gives you the energy for exploring this beautiful, un-spoilt island.
