Tucked away in woodland grounds, this beautiful Victorian Lodge provides high quality accommodation comprising 2 double, 1 twin and 1 family room.
Set in an elevated position, and surrounded by extensive woodland with a bubbling stream and a duck pond, all rooms provide outstanding views of the town and the hills beyond.
The centre of Pitlochry with all amenities and restaurants, the well acclaimed Moulin Inn and brewery, and the many walks in and around the area are only a stone’s throw from Craigmhor Lodge. Privately owned and managed by Calum and Jane MacLellan, the whole team at Craigmhor Lodge aim to ensure that our guests a relaxed homely atmosphere and high standard of service and housekeeping.
The lodge provides a perfect base from which to explore Perthshire and the Highlands. It is also ideally situated for sporting activities including fishing, walking, golf, and water sports. Our hotel is a non-smoking and no pets establishment. Wireless internet access is available and those arriving by car will find complimentary parking on site. It is of the utmost importance to us that our guests experience a truly delightful stay with us.
Our accommodation is peacefully set within a traditional 2 storey Victorian house which retains many period features. Our bedrooms offer unparalleled comfort, being tastefully decorated and individually designed to the highest possible standard. Each has a beautifully appointed en-suite bathroom boasting luxurious bathrobes, fresh warm fluffy towels, and plentiful toiletries by Scottish Fine Soaps.
All our bedrooms and fully equipped with a remote controlled colour television, hair dryer, and refreshment tray. Ironing facilities and the use of a telephone and a computer are also available for the use of our guests. Our de luxe collection of bedrooms ensures that guests enjoy the finest of comforts and the ultimate in relaxation.
We are able to provide, free of charge, a travel cot and a high-chair for children under the age of two years. Please feel free to bring your own cot blankets with you, otherwise we can provide these during your stay.
If you’re looking for somewhere to put your feet up, to read, to chat, to write your postcards or simply to relax and doze, our splendid conservatory lounge is just the place for you! Newspapers, books and a plentiful supply of lifestyle magazines can be found on the shelf, and for the enthusiast there is a sufficient selection of board games and a pool table. Be yourselves, or take an opportunity to meet new friends or share experiences with fellow guests in a mellow, friendly and quietly relaxing environment.
The warm Highland welcome you will receive at reception will only be enhanced by the beautiful Victorian cornices. The experienced and friendly reception staff are quick and efficient and will be able to assist you in enjoying being with us to the full. How about having your pre-dinner drinks in our bar? Although it is just soft drinks that we sell, you can easily bring your own bottle of alcohol and let it chill in the fridge provided. The ice bucket is always there, and so is a range of glasses and crockery. As the bar is adjacent to the conservatory lounge, there is by fine weather plenty of opportunity to also enjoy some fresh air. For those who do not want to travel with their laptops, a public computer is available!
Light & airy, cosy & informal, the dining room is the ideal place to join your fellow guests for breakfast, tailor-made to your taste. Recently refurbished, it is blending both traditional and contemporary styles which enhance the many original features of our Victorian house.
The colourful and lovingly maintained garden with immaculately cut lawn beckons our guests to have a game of petanque or football, or just relax and enjoy the Highland sunshine in the seating area provided. The exterior of the house is enhanced with an abundance of flowers and hanging baskets. At dusk, while admiring our beautifully lit driveway and listening to the bubbling stream, you might spot our red squirrels, or the resident heron in amongst the ducks and moorhens on the pond. Wireless internet connection is available with our compliments throughout all public rooms and bedrooms. We also have a drying & boot room plus secure storage for skis, bikes & other equipment. Sorry we do not allow pets at Craigmhor Lodge, and, for the comfort of all our guests, no smoking is permitted.
