16 Market Place is situated very close to the centre of the historic Borders town of Lauder.

Lauder's charter dates back to 1502 and the town itself is of considerable historic interest. Nearby is Thirlestane Castle and the town is an ideal centre for exploring other areas of the Borders including Selkirk and Abbotsford, the home of Sir Walter Scott, and within easy reach of Edinburgh - Scotland's capital.

Lauder is also on the Southern Upland way, a favourite for walkers and features the annual common riding in August. The accommodation comprises a twin bedded room which is en -suite. The room also enjoys the benefit of a TV with freeview. Off -street car parking is available in a lockable garage by arrangement.
