Situated next to the Atlantic Ocean in Scalloway, Shetland Islands.....Windward is a warm and comfortable family house in a lovely quiet location with a stunning view . It is situated about half a mile from the centre of the village and is near a bus route. The Scalloway swimming pool is about a mile away. You will find ample car parking space outside the house and there is a lovely garden with seating for you to use at any time. There are 3 tastefully decorated clean and warm rooms available all year round. Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 9.00am daily in our Conservatory which has panoramic views. Times can be flexible by prior arrangement. All bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities which you can help yourselves to, day or night. Packed lunches are available on request when prior notice is given. Because of its location, you get the best of both worlds when staying at Windward. Although it is in the village of Scalloway it is located on the outskirts, looking out over the sea to the south and west...you still have the peace and quiet. ...yet are close enough to get to restaurants, bars, parks which are all within easy walking distance. Free WIFI available on request. Beth and Ian will make you very welcome on your arrival and will do their best to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The house is heated throughout and tastefully decorated, we have a no smoking policy however we are happy to supply an ashtray to enable you to smoke outside and enjoy the garden views. From Stromness If arriving from Stromness on the A965 turn right at the Mills filling station on the edge of town and then right again at the small roundabout after Tesco. Follow the road ahead, bearing left up the hill (Holm Branch Road) towards the Distillery. Turn left at the top of the hill on to Holm Road. From the airport Turn right at the exit and head into town. Opposite the entrance to Bignold Park take a left (signposted Holm) onto the Holm Road. The Guest House is 300m on the left. From South Ronaldsay Follow the road to Kirkwall. About 200m after the Highland Park Distillery and bear right onto Holm Road. The Guest House is 300m on the right.
