Beacon House, Inkpen, Hungerford, Berkshire

Beacon House is a situated in rural Berkshire at Inkpen, near Hungerford and offers bed and breakfast accommodation, stunning scenery and local walks, and includes an art and crafts gallery.
All bedrooms have wash basins and central heating and there are 2 bathrooms, one with a shower. There is a kitchen upstairs for visitors to use for making drinks, sandwiches etc.
The spacious reception rooms were greatly enhanced a few years ago by the addition of the Conservatory that replaced the balcony that used to be accessed from the twin bedroom.
There is a good selection of books, and in the lounge a piano and, in winter, a log fire.
Many guests have commented on the peaceful atmosphere of Beacon House - for the residents, however, there is plenty of work to keep us occupied but we enjoy sharing the lovely facilities that we are so fortunate to have.
We can only take four guests at a time and so we are able to give personal attention to every one. The rooms, two single and one twin, look across fields towards Inkpen Beacon, the highest chalk hill in the British Isles - a lovely walk in good weather!
Inkpen is an excellent centre for exploring the South of England being close to the crossroads of the M4 and the A34.
The cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury together with Oxford and Windsor are all within an hour’s drive, as are the ancient stone circles of Stonehenge and Avebury.
Also within easy reach are the cities of Portsmouth, Bath, Bristol and Gloucester. If it is countryside and scenery that you like to visit, we live in an area of outstanding natural beauty and are not too far from the Cotswolds and the New Forest.
