We open all year and are conveniently situated in the heart of Seaford within walking distance of the wide beaches, excellent sports facilities, restaurants, shops and museums. The Avondale provides the perfect blend of modern comforts with traditional courtesy and service.

Seaford is almost halfway between Brighton and Eastbourne making it the perfect base for touring and exploring Sussex. Don’t worry if you do not have transport, we are only 250 yards away from Seaford Railway Station and 50 yards from the main Brighton to Eastbourne bus stop. If you wish to cycle there is local bike hire which will enable you to explore the many cycle routes. Or, if you prefer to walk, we are ideally situated for the enthusiastic walker and those who prefer a gentle stroll.

Jane & Martin Home really enjoy running The Avondale and it shows. The hotel based in Seaford is family run and very clean with an informal atmosphere.

The Avondale Hotel has fourteen letting rooms, a mixture of single, double, twin and family rooms with a stair lift to all first floor rooms. Most of the rooms have en-suite shower and toilet facilities and all rooms have a hand basin.

We have DVD players available for loan on a first come first served basis. Should you require any extra toiletries, an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, dressing gown, alarm clock, clothes brush, needle and cotton or shoe cleaning equipment please ask at reception.

At the heart of the hotel are the staff who are friendly, dedicated and loyal, Most have worked here for years. Our friendly, experienced staff will spare no effort to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable.

The Avondale provides the perfect blend of modern comforts with traditional courtesy and service. We are a no smoking establishment in the centre of town with ample free unrestricted on street parking.

We have a large dining room which is available for functions. The room can seat up to 25 comfortably at one table or 35 at separate tables for a formal dinner and 50 for a buffet.

We cater for both formal and informal occasions including weddings, christenings, communion celebrations, afternoon teas, coffee mornings, luncheon parties and dinners. We also cater for funeral buffets and appreciate the sensitivity of the occasion.

Menus are tailored to suit each individual function and we pride ourselves on the standard of our catering and presentation.

The Avondale also does Sunday Lunches.
