Wayside Cottage Bed & Breakfast, Burley, Hampshire, New Forest

Wayside Cottage Bed & Breakfast is a wysteria-covered Edwardian cottage in the New Forest village of Burley, where Ponies, Donkeys and even Cattle wander down the streets, and the loudest sound is the bird song in the trees.

Janet and John West have created the perfect haven for a relaxing weekend, or a longer stay. There are six rooms to let on a Bed and Breakfast basis, five rooms ensuite one with a private bathroom. There are pretty gardens to sit in and a guest lounge for evenings or bad weather. Cycling, walking and horse riding opportunities are within 5 minutes walk. The village has several Pubs and Hotels, shops and all the usual amenities.

All our rooms are named after Puccini Heroines, which indicates where Janet’s musical interests lie! All are fully ensuite except La Fanciulla, which has a private bathroom. All have televisions, clock radios, tea and coffee making facilities and easy chair.

Full traditional English breakfast is cooked by the owner, using local produce wherever possible. Other options are available. Evening meals can be supplied on request, on 24 hours notice ( minimum 4 adults) when you may bring your own wine into the dining room.

All the attractions of the New Forest are close by, with the attractive small towns of Lyndhurst, Ringwood, Brockenhurst and Lymington all less than 10 miles away. If you are keen on sailing and the sea, then Lymington is where to head for. You can also catch a ferry there to the Isle of Wight, for a fascinating day trip.
