Built in the early eighteenth century and turned into an ale house only a few years later, we are situated on the top of a hill in an area of outstanding natural beauty amidst some of the best countryside and with one of the finest views from any pub in the south of England.

We are open for lunch and dinner every day with all dishes freshly prepared by our full time chef. To accompany either a light lunch or more indulgent evening meal we offer Cask Marque acrredited real ales and a varied wine list.

Accommodation is available in our four en-suite letting rooms either for a mid-week business trip or weekend breaks with full english breakfast included.

We have four well appointed en-suite letting rooms available throughout the week for both short and long term stays. The rooms are located in the converted barn and ancillary stores adjacent to the main pub with their own access from outside so you can come and go as you wish.

All our rooms have been designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible with neutral colours, luxuriously comfortable beds and well equipped en-suites, together with freeview tv, in room tea and coffee facilities and open access wireless broadband.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and the main pub is open seen days a week for both lunch and dinner, offering both a bar and restaurant menu. We are also happy to provide packed lunches or light snacks if arriving late on request .

We have Double, Twin and Single rooms and occasional beds and travel cots are also available.

Rates : £60 single. £70 per room per night based on 2 people sharing.
