The Glendene Hotel, Shanklin, Isle of Wight

The Glendene Hotel is ideally positioned just ten minutes walk from the historic Chine, a beautifully luscious gorge which flows to Shanklin's sandy Beaches, cliff top walks and amusement arcades.

The old village has a host of picturesque thatched cottages offering the visitor a choice of gift shops and tearooms. Shanklin has a variety of restaurants and public houses plus the Royal British Legion is close by.

For those who prefer not to walk, the 'Road Runner', Shanklin's road train, stops near our door (in season). For further distances we are only four minutes walk away from the local train station and the buses are just across the road taking you to all the island attractions.
