We may only be a small Hotel, but what we lack in size, we make up for in quality and the warmth of our welcome.
Built in 1870, the hotel is situated close to the famous cliff walk and the lift to Shanklin's award winning safe sandy beaches. With the town centre and the thatched cottages of the Old Village just a few minutes level walk away, the hotel presents our guests with the ideal base, from which to experience an unforgettable holiday exploring the beautiful Isle of Wight.
Lying just a short sea crossing from the mainland, the Isle of Wight enjoys one of the mildest climates in the British Isles and regularly tops the sunshine League table.
A haven for Walkers, Cyclists, and the discerning holiday maker, the peace and tranquillity of this beautiful Island combine to make it the ideal place to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. Over half of the Island is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 9.30 a.m. and you can choose from our wide and varied menu ranging from Fresh Fruit to the 'Full English', you are sure to find something to your taste. However; we are only too pleased to cater for any special dietary needs that you may have.
Evening meal can be provided by arrangement.
Our comfortable and well stocked bar offers a selection of reasonably priced draught beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks. After enjoying your day, and perhaps a gentle stroll along the Esplanade, why not relax during the evening over a quiet drink with your family or new found friends in the lounge bar.
The Isle of Wight is less than a two hour drive from London, lying just off the centre of the South Coast of England, and is a small diamond shaped island. Only thirteen miles north to south and twenty three miles east to west, the Isle of Wight, sometimes known as the Garden Isle can be reached via car ferry, passenger ferry, hovercraft or hydrofoil. Within its boundaries, the Isle of Wight contains a wide variety of landscapes from sheltered river valleys and long golden sandy beaches to wild, wind swept headlands and forests.
