Oak Cottage Elmsted near Canterbury Kent is an attractive 17th century cottage close to Ashford and Canterbury in Kent with an independent self contained guest wing which has its own TV. Guests have use of a conservatory and beautiful garden set in unspoilt, wooded countryside.
The cottage is convenient for all the attractions in Kent including Canterbury Cathedral, castles, gardens, wildlife parks and walks. The Channel Tunnel and Ports are within easy reach and there are many excellent restaurants and pubs nearby.
We have one double bedroom and 2 single rooms, but please note that the single rooms are only let to family and friends of our guests staying in the double room.
Formerly the home of Cyril Connelly and Barbara Skelton (one of King Farouk's mistresses who was also known locally as the "Naked Lady") the cottage was the scene of parties held in the '50s the guests included Noel Cowerd and Ian Fleming.
Life is a little quieter here now and we would like you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of our home and garden deep in the Kent countryside which is in an AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY.
